Chantilly Lace Ladies Tallit

Chantilly Lace Ladies Tallit

Regular price $305.00 Sale

This Chantilly Lace Tallit is beautifully and uniquely handcrafted from exquisite chantilly lace. It is pale ivory, just barely off-white, to flatter a wide range of skin and fabric tones. The soft, comfortably wearable lace body is finished with a rolled bridal veil edge at the neck, a scalloped lower edge across the back, and stunning Venetian lace fringe on the short ends. The atarah (neckband), as shown, is raw dupioni silk, subtly textured with a rich sheen. The atarah includes the blessing recited when donning a tallit, embroidered in Hebrew, in silky tone-on-tone thread. Tone-on-tone embroidery allows the lettering to virtually disappear from a distance, preserving the design's simplicity, for maximum versatility. (The atarah can be customized in nearly any color silk and/or embroidery...simply ask before ordering. There is a small fee for custom materials).

I use only Rabbinically-approved tzitzit strings from Israel. The tzitzit at all four corners of this tallit are hand-tied according to halakhah (Jewish law) in the Ashkenazi pattern (reminding us of the 613 mitzvot).

This tallit measures 64"-66" in length (not including the tzitzit or fringe trim). This is a perfect fit for a woman or teen. If you need a more generous fit please message me after purchase (simply use the contact tab below).

Please remember that each item is handmade to order (by a real, live American artisan, not mass-manufactured), so you'll need to allow up to four weeks for your creation (not including transit time). If you are in a hurry, please message me in advance, as I may be able to accommodate (a small fee may apply for rearranging workload). Each tallit is a one of a kind, heirloom piece, handmade in my home studio (and may vary ever so slightly in threads or trims, according to availability, but will always reflect the listing photos).

A coordinating dupioni silk tallit bag (with matching trim) is available as an add-on for $35 (Name embroidery in Hebrew and/or English available upon request. Adds $25).
